| Our
company history can be summarised as ‘propagation through innovation’,
because each generation of the Frederick Jones family has sought to keep the company at
the leading edge of contemporary technology by using the most up to date materials,
products and packaging manufacturing techniques. This
is exemplified by examining our recent history. So, for example, in 1968, we introduced
Tri-Wall Pak as an alternative to timber packaging. In 1970, we brought Jiffy
Co. products into the Northern Ireland marketplace and established our Building
Products division. During the 1980’s we introduced ‘just-in-time’
delivery services and in the 1990’s, we doubled the size of our premises
and invested heavily in the best available machinery and technology.
The new millennium brought the introduction of new Business Information Systems,
the opening of our JIT Distribution Centre and continued investment in machinery.
